If i do this routine, how long will it take to lose 10 pounds?

If I eat three meals a day and drink only water and rarely diet sodas

breakfast - special k cereal or egg whites etc

lunch - subway, vetebables, fruits, etc

dinner - chicken breasts, or veggies and maybe once a week eat something that isnt all that healthy but not too bad like a big mac(like steak or pork chops) and walk every day for 30 minutes and swim for 30-60 minutes can i lose weight? well i know i can but how long will it take to lose 10 pounds? I weight 113 pounds if that helps. please dont say you dont need to i just want to shed off a few pounds.



or should i walk more? please tell me what i should do.If i do this routine, how long will it take to lose 10 pounds?
It is a combination of eating better and working out. Don't believe the hype that you don't need the latter. Weight loss has many variables, in particular if your body is getting to the point where it will "resist" taking any more off, which can lead to a myriad of health problems, including fatigue.



You have an excellent program outlined of sensible eating and cross-training, but I would think sensibly and give the routine three weeks to lose the desired weight. But don't force it after that time by knocking more calories out....I would focus on keeping the swimming at a solid hour per workout.

Okay..to lose 1 pound you need to burn 3,500 calories MORE than you take in. A healthy rate of weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. The Hollywood Juice diet is a 48 hour program that will be probably cause you to shed the full 10lbs in 48 hours.( I lost 12)
"please dont say you dont need to i just want to shed off a few pounds" ummm hello honey!!! 10 lbs is not "a few". I hate to say it, but, you don't need to lose weight. How old are you anyways?



I would reconsider or talk to a dietician or your doctor.
Diet and exercise is your best bet. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week, so at a minimum 5 weeks, 10 weeks maximum. Your diet plan sounds healthy, but you need to ensure that you are taking in enough calories for your body to function and exercise.

I'm assuming you're looking to get toned up for summer right? Well your diet is ok. Chicken and Tuna are great and eat red meat at least once or twice a week if for nothing else than the Iron in it. Swimming is great excersise, a fast paced walk is good too. I would suggest about 5 small meals a day. Don't cut out carbs just rplace bad carbs with good carbs and eat them sensibly. Darker is better. Try some strengthening excersizes as well. Muscle burns fat. You should definately try seeking the advice of a personal trainer. I don't know how long it will take. Nobody can really make that assesment because everyone is different. I do however think your weight is fine. If you're just trying to tone up then some light weight training would be better. You may however gain weight by weight training so dont be alarmed!! The good new is you've replaced fat with muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. I am actually trying to gain weight and in the process I have only gained 5-7 pounds but I have cut my body fay by 4-5 %. I do however feel much better and look much better. Remember though that the answers you get here can not replace the advice you would get from a personal trainer and/or nutritionist. It's not that expensive and just a few sessions with a trainer can get you on track!! I can't stress that enough and by all means don't get stuck on how much you weigh, but rather focus on how you feel, and your energy, and we are always our own worst critic so ask some close friends as well...good luck
