Your diet needs more variety. You should lose the protein supplement and eat a more varied diet of natural foods including vegetables, fruits, dairy, meat, etc. You don't need protein for gym...you need protein 24 hours a day because that's when your body uses it. Your body is not going to use a big gulp of protein no matter how hard to exert yourself physically. It does its repair work (anabolism) on an on-going basis over time. I think you've bought into one of the countless myths which confuse so many people in pursuit of diet and fitness information. Try to get your nutrition from whole, nonprocessed foods. You shouldn't need more than 80 gms of protein per day...which is about the amount of protein in two KYC chicken breasts.

I don't know why you seem bothered by Centrum. I took Centrum multivitamin and mineral tabs every day for years. I just changed to a new brand a few years ago because it's available where my wife shops. You might try a different brand and see what happens.

Here are some excellent websites for information about all things health. Go to Scooby's website or YouTube home page first and watch his videos about nutrition. He's fun to watch, a lot smarter than he looks, and has excellent advice. He'll show you how to fix meals, eat on the go, etc.

NIH - this is the Mother of all health websites and comes to you from the US National Institute of Health...the watchdogs of American's health. It has a wealth of high quality information for you. Use the search feature and then dig into the search results. If you don't find what you want, try different key words. Some of the info is too technical for general consumption so keep looking and you'll likely find what you want in a more easy-to-understand format. --%26gt; http://nih.gov/

A GREAT NO FRILLS RESOURCE - This is an excellent, easy to use resource for physical training info, anatomy, kinesiology, etc. It will show you muscle pics, tell you how to work them, estimate calories expended, and even tell you how long you鈥檙e going to live (give or take). 飪?http://www.exrx.net/index.html

FOR KIDS %26amp; TEENS (and adults too) - This is a great website for kids and teens and their growing bodies and special considerations. If you're still growing, check it out. If you鈥檙e not, check it out anyway. It has good info for adults and parents too. --%26gt; http://teenshealth.org/teen/

STAND FIRM 鈥?Of all the guys who claim to be fitness experts on YouTube, this guy is smarter, easier for most people to relate to, and more articulate and easy to follow and understand. My personal favorite YouTube fitness guru 飪?http://www.youtube.com/user/StandFirm

SCOOBY 鈥?Scooby will appeal more to guys than gals but his advice is top notch and good for both sexes even if his body doesn鈥檛 match his head (lol). He鈥檚 funny, smarter than he looks, and when it comes to building muscle, there鈥檚 nothing like seeing the real deal in action. So, check out Scooby at http://scoobysworkshop.com/general_philo鈥?/a> and read. When you鈥檙e ready for his videos, you鈥檒l find him on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/user/scooby1961 .
